Students must have an average of 70% to pass and receive credit for the course. However, if the student's grade is between a 65% - 69% at the end of the semester, the student is eligible to participate in CCSD’s Course Extension program. You can register below.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
- The program offers 10 hours of proctored lab time.
- Students can work on this web-based program at home. However, all assessments will have to be completed at school and proctored by a school-based staff member.
- Students will complete an individualized mastery unit centered on content/standards.
- All graded components of this mastery unit must score at an 80%.
- Upon successful completion of the mastery unit, the student will receive a final course grade of a 70.
- If a student does not finish the mastery unit by Tuesday, January 20th by 4:20pm, their original course average (see below) will appear on their transcript.
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Students will attend January 6th – 9th, January 12th – 16th, and January 20th from 3:20 pm to 4:20 pm in the Sequoyah East Cafeteria.
- Students enrolled must attend every day school is in session until successful completion of the program. Any absence must be approved by the School Program Coordinator, Carey Blalock.
- Transportation is not provided.
ONLINE REGISTRATION:
- Together, parent/guardian and students will register online (link provided below) for the program.
- Deadline to register is Monday, January 5th at 11:59pm.
- There is a limited number of seats offered. Registration is available on a first come first serve basis.
PAYMENT:
- A $40 fee is required for students to participate in Course Extension.
- Payments can also be made in person in the attendance office at Sequoyah.
- Online Payment Instructions: click on the Payment button below and search for "Course Extension", find Sequoyah in the list and pay for a class or classes.

- Log in with your username and password
- Choose your student’s name
- Click “Add to Cart”
- Click “View Cart” to pay and checkout
