At Sequoyah High School, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to succeed and graduate on time. For students needing to recover credits to stay on track, there are two excellent options available: the district’s Summer School program and Sequoyah High’s very own Credit Connect program.
Option 1: Summer School (District Program)
The school district’s Summer School program offers a structured, in-person environment to help students recover credits in core academic subjects. Here are the key details:

Option 2: Credit Connect (Sequoyah High School)

Credit Connect at Sequoyah
This program is available for Sequoyah High School students. Credit Connect courses are self-directed, web-based learning programs utilizing the Edgenuity Learning solution. Edgenuity courses can even be accessed at home if needed however assessments are taken at Sequoyah. SHS will be offering Credit Connect to allow students to work towards full-credit recovery. Second-semester courses will begin in January.
TIMES:
- Students can take the course during a lunch period or after school.
- Note that a student's current schedule will determine the time of day the student can enroll in Credit Connect.
COST:
- See counselor, but if fee applies there is an online payment option
- No Personal Check will be accepted
- *If fee applies - Online Payment instructions: Go to the Sequoyah web page; click on the “ONLINE PAYMENT” tab; click on the Credit Connect tab and pay for class or classes.
REGISTRATION GUIDELINES:
- Students meet with their counselor during the beginning of each semester to select recovery courses. All courses must be approved.
- Counselor must sign the registration form before it goes home to parent!
- Students take home the Course Approval Form and Contract, already signed by a counselor, and has it signed by a parent.
- If a fee applies - Payments are to be made online.
